Highlights

The LIC Marketing Committee Meeting provides an opportunity to develop business relationships and share ideas with fellow marketing executives, as well as to see the host company headquarters. The meeting brings together dozens of small-to-midsize life insurance company representatives and relevant vendors. Topics include speaker presentations as well as activity reports and facilitated discussion among the attendees.

The meeting will be entirely virtual. The itinerary includes a pre-meeting happy hour on Remo, Tuesday July 20 7-8 pm EDT, then on Wednesday July 21 meeting sessions 10am to 12pm EDT, a one-hour break, and meeting sessions 1-3pm EDT. Highlights include a rebranding case study by Martha Turner Osborne, CMO of Teachers Life, and "marketing to existing customers," by LIM Systems International, plus facilitated discussion on requested topics. 

The meeting is open to insurance company executives, with a discounted registration fee for LIC members. Affiliate Members/Vendors must sponsor the meeting in order to attend. Find out about LIC sponsorship opportunities.

Martha Turner Osborne has over 20 years of marketing and sales experience primarily in insurance, banking and investments across a broad range of distribution channels. Her work has earned her numerous awards for building brands and customer engagement in unique and cost-effective ways. She sits on a number of boards including a past board member of The Jane Goodall Foundation, and a current board member of EcoSchools Canada and Craft Ontario. Martha has also served as a member of several industry committees including the Sick Kids Digital Marketing Advisory Committee, the Canadian Marketing Association’s Executive Direct Marketing Committee and a guest author for Huffington Post. Martha’s professional experience is backed by an M.A. in Education from the University of Toronto.

Mr. Wartenberg formed LIM Systems International in 1987. Now known as LSI Group, the firm and its subsidiaries service the product development and marketing needs of over 50 client companies, in the US and in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Wartenberg was employed by Colonial Penn Group from 1965 to 1973 in Claims Management, Data Processing Management and ultimately as Vice President of Colonial Penn Insurance Company, which marketed homeowners and auto policies to AARP members via direct mail and media advertising. With several Colonial Penn executives, he then formed SAI Group, Inc., a marketing company for life and P&C insurance.

Mr. Wartenberg served as CEO of SAI Group and its affiliates, The Preferred Assurance Company, and United National Life Insurance Company, operating in the U.S. and 29 other countries. Mr. Wartenberg has also served as Chairman of the European Federation of Mature Persons and as Director of Lloyd’s Life Assurance, U.K.

Brad has over 30 years of insurance and business development experience working with the AEGON/Transamerica companies. He is experienced in direct marketing campains for insurance and ancillary products within the financial institution, employee benefit and call center marketplace. Further, he is a licensed agent for Life/Health and Property/Casuality in all 50 states. Brad joined LSI as EVP in 2019.
