The LIC Laws & Legislation Committee Conference Call is a chance for executives from small-to-midsize life insurance companies and fraternals, and relevant service providers, to hear and discuss updates on the laws, regulations and litigation affecting your business.

  • Jason Berkowitz, Chief Legal & Regulatory Affairs Officer at Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) on the DOL Fiduciary Rule
  • Stephen Cheeseman, Head of Legal and Compliance at thinktum/illustrate inc on Colorado's recently passed AI law, Bill 24-205.

The meeting is open to insurance company executives, with a discounted registration fee for LIC members. Affiliate Members/Vendors must sponsor the meeting in order to attend. Find out about LIC sponsorship opportunities.

Registration

LIC Committee Meetings are open to insurance companies/fraternals. Vendors/service providers must be a meeting sponsor in order to attend.

Insurance Companies

  • LIC Member: $30
  • Nonmember: $45
  • Group Discount: After two paid registrations, use code GRPCOMP for the third and additional attendees to attend for free.
  • Fraternals: AFA Member Societies registrations is fully sponsored - register at the AFA Website. 

Affiliates / Vendors

  • Sponsorship will be billed separately (see LIC Sponsorships).
  • Laws & Legislation Committee 2024 Sponsorship: $160 LIC Member/$320 Nonmember (includes both spring and fall conference calls) or $80/$160 for just the fall conference call
  • Register one included attendee with SPONSOR promo code; additional attendees pay applicable Registration Fee

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations/substitutions and refund requests must be received in writing - please submit your request to customer.service@limra.com. A full refund is available until one day before the meeting (September 19, 2024). For cancellations received after that date, registration fees will not be refunded but substitutions are allowed.
