The LIC Laws & Legislation Committee Conference Call is a chance for executives from small-to-midsize life insurance companies and fraternals, and relevant service providers, to hear and discuss updates on the laws, regulations and litigation affecting your business. 

The spring meeting features a panel on "The Compliance Department of the Future:" 

  • Nick Crawford, Chief Compliance Officer and Sr. Counsel, ELCO Mutual
  • Laura Heeger, Attorney and Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, Ethos, an insurance technology platform
  • Stacy Koron, Attorney and Vice President of First Consulting (Facilitator)

Our panelists will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the way we work in the compliance arena. These speakers have insights into practical strategies to help compliance teams navigate the transition effectively. They will share how they got started with AI, how they measure whether AI is working, their favorite AI tool or solution, among other fascinating information. 

Kathy O'Farrell,Regulatory Affairs Manager, First Consulting, will lead discussion of current legislative issues.

The meeting is open to insurance company and fraternal executives, with a discounted registration fee for LIC members. Affiliate Members/Vendors must sponsor the meeting in order to attend. Find out about LIC sponsorship opportunities.

LIC Committee Meetings are open to insurance companies/fraternals. Vendors/service providers must be a meeting sponsor in order to attend.

  • Nonmember: $75

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations/substitutions and refund requests must be received in writing - please submit your request to customer.service@limra.com. A full refund is available until one day before the meeting (May 18, 2026). For cancellations received after that date, registration fees will not be refunded but substitutions are allowed.
