Highlights

LIC’s Laws and Legislation Committee brings together senior executives to discuss important information affecting small-to-midsize life carriers. Quarterly teleconferences include updates and open discussion on state and federal legislative and regulatory issues as well as litigation. This is your chance to meet with peers from other companies and share the latest information.

Topics will include updates on:

Moody’s vs Society of Actuaries NAIC RBC Factors
Unclaimed property legislation and lawsuits,
Lost policy services,
State life insurance regulations - passed, failed and pending,
Guaranty association changes,
NAIC and other industry issues,
End of life legislation, and more.

The meeting will be held online via Webex; instructions will be included in the confirmation email when you sign up. Here are some Webex guidelines and tips for the meeting.

The meeting is open to insurance company executives, with a discounted registration fee for LIC members. Affiliate Members/Vendors pay a sponsorship fee in order to attend.

Registration

Insurance Companies

LIC Committee conference calls are open to senior management of legal-reserve insurance companies and fraternal organizations. If your company is a vendor/service provider, you must be a sponsor to attend - see info below.

Registration: $25 LIC Members / $40 Nonmembers

Affiliate Members/Service Providers

Non-insurance companies must be a meeting sponsor in order to participate in LIC Committee Conference Calls (LIC Affiliates $75 / Nonmembers $100). Sponsorship includes one registration; up to two more can register for $50 each.

Fraternal Organizations

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations and refund requests must be received in writing. Cancellation requests should be submitted to Christa Horne at hornec@loma.org. A full refund is available until 1 day before the meeting (May 18, 2021). After that date, refunds will not be available. If for any reason a meeting is cancelled the LIC will refund the total registration fee.
