Knowledge can help your learners get through these difficult times. That’s why we’ve developed two new short (30 minute) online courses to provide the background, context, and foundational knowledge learners need to understand how recent events may affect them, their companies, and their customers.

The Economic Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic explores the effects of the pandemic on the economy and economic activity, including the

  • Pandemic’s impact on the business cycle, specifically the possibility of a recession
  • Potential long-term positive and negative effects of the government’s economic strategies

The COVID-19 Pandemic and Unemployment helps learners understand

  • The economic effects of unemployment
  • Unemployment income benefits available to the unemployed in normal times and temporary pandemic-related income benefits
  • Approaches that financial services companies are using to help customers and businesses affected by unemployment through these uncertain times
  • Information to assist in managing individual stress and upset customers

Both courses are presented in our popular highly interactive online format and include "What Do You Think?" and "Let’s Review" questions to aid learners’ understanding of these topics. Each course can be completed in 30 minutes, and the cost per course is $50 for members.
