Ed Rep Edition

It’s no question, COVID-19 has created a whirlwind of confusion, chaos, and uncertainty. How—and where—your company’s employees do their jobs looks very different these days. Still, this is also a great time to help your employees feel engaged through industry education! Encourage your remote workforce to work toward their professional development goals to ensure that your organization can come out of this season poised for greater things.

As your industry association, we are committed to continuing to empower you with knowledge, insights, connections, and solutions during this challenging time. As part of our commitment to you, we’ve gathered a variety of resources to assist you with your Ed Rep responsibilities in a remote work environment.

Self-Proctored Course Options

LOMA has several course options that don’t require a proctored testing environment. That means your learners can study the material AND take the exams while they’re in this remote work situation!

Help with Enrollments and Exams

We’re working to ensure the best, low-stress learning experience for you and all LOMA learners during this time of crisis by offering free extensions and transfers on proctored course enrollments within specific expiration date timeframes. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and make additional adjustments as necessary.

Low Interest Rate Executive Task Force - Ready or Not: How Life Insurers are Preparing for Extended Low Rates While Managing Through COVID-19

May 26, 1:00 - 2:00 PM EDT
LL Global (LIMRA, LOMA) partnered with Oliver Wyman and ACLI to form a low interest rate task force. The task force is comprised of over 100 senior leaders from across the industry participating in subcommittee work focused on three areas: Readiness/Advocacy, Customer/Distribution, and International (lessons learned from low rate countries). In light of the recent outbreak of COVID-19 and the sharp decline in rates from the beginning of the year we accelerated the work on advocacy and company readiness. Engaging Learners

Recognition Matters!
Your learners have worked hard to earn their designations. We’d love to give them some time in the spotlight to recognize their achievements, and to inspire others along the industry professional development path! We are reaching out to recent FLMI and FSRI designees, inviting them to submit a short video testimonial about their accomplishment. We’ll share the finished product with them to highlight their accomplishment with colleagues, friends and family, and we’ll also publicize them on our social media channels or in promotional materials. And we’ll certainly send a copy to you, as well, to share inside your company.

Let your leaders help!
Leaders know their teams best – help them keep associates engaged during this time with an invitation to grow through professional development! This Leader’s Checklist provides tools and ideas for communicating with and encouraging their teams, and the Learning Path will help learners see how they can achieve their goals in 60 days or less!
