What does it take to achieve sustainable production growth in the rapidly changing Asian insurance marketplace? Although the emerging Chinese and Indian life insurance markets provide opportunities for growth, the continued globalization of the Asian insurance marketplace promises to accelerate the pace of change. 

Asian life insurers can expect increased pressure on margins, continued consolidation, and an intensified search for more cost-efficient distribution channels. Based on personal experience and lessons learned throughout his career in the life insurance industry, Bardin will discuss the fundamentals of achieving sustainable production growth in this fast-paced environment.

Mr. Sachdev has been at the center of these issues, interacting with the various organizations and government figures involved in pension reform in India. Plus don't miss the discussion on the impact on organizations conducting business in India as well as the affects these reforms have on the Asia Pacific region.

Tony Fernandes, Director and CEO of AirAsia Sdn Bhd

One of the key components to success is having the courage to follow a vision and take the bold steps necessary to turn that vision into reality. Fernandes will share his personal success story. Moving from the music industry to the airline industry, he and his partners took over AirAsia Sdn Bhd, Malaysia's second national carrier, and in December 2001 successfully relaunched AirAisa as Asia's first low-cost airline. Under his leadership, AirAisa has grown from a modest fleet of two, to 10 currently. The airline has recorded an unbroken profit for the last 22 months since the first day of operation and has carried over 3 million passengers.
