Find a Prometric Testing Center Near You

Before enrolling for a Prometric exam, you may wish to go to www.2test.com to locate a Prometric Testing Center in your area. Be sure to select LOMA as the testing program to ensure that you’re shown only testing centers that offer LOMA examinations. A Call Center Representative from Prometric can also assist you in finding a testing center. Just call the Candidate Services Call Center at 1-800-998-5662. Once you have confirmed a testing center location you can enroll for your exam.

Enroll for the Exam

Before you can take an exam at Prometric you must enroll for the exam through LOMANET, LOMA’s online enrollment and student administration system. To enroll, just follow the steps below:

1. If you are already registered with LOMANET, please do not re-register but proceed to step 2. If you are not already a registered student with LOMANET, point your web browser to www.lomanet.org, click on the LOMA icon, choose Register, and fill out and submit the online registration form. Registration is free. You will be provided with a login ID and password to use for accessing LOMANET.

When registering, be sure to provide your valid e-mail address so that you can receive an enrollment confirmation e-mail when you enroll and an official grade report e-mail after you sit for an exam.

2. Enroll for your exam through LOMANET. Log into www.lomanet.org using your login ID and password, and choose the Enroll For Exam button on the left side of the screen. Follow the instructions on each of the enrollment screens. An enrollment is valid for only one testing period (see below for more information on testing periods).

When enrolling, be sure to either: (1) choose to receive an enrollment confirmation e-mail or (2) print out the Enrollment Confirmation page that appears after you Submit your enrollment. You will be required to produce your enrollment confirmation when you appear at the Prometric Testing Center to sit for your exam.

When enrolling, please help us serve you better by taking a few minutes to update your demographic information on your Student Information page.

3. Wait at least 48 hours after enrolling, and then log into www.2test.com to schedule an exam appointment at a Prometric Testing Center or call Prometric’s Candidate Services Call Center (1-800-998-5662). See below for more information.

Choose a Testing Period

When you enroll for a Prometric exam on LOMANET, you select the testing period in which you want to take the examination. The testing period is the window of time during which you may sit for the examination. LOMA exams are offered in two six-month testing periods during the year – January-June and July-December. If more than one testing period is open for enrollment, please select your testing period carefully, taking into account the study and preparation time that you will need, and allowing for adequate time to schedule your testing date at Prometric.

Payment of the examination fee and Prometric fee establishes eligibility for one period of testing. You must sit for the examination during the testing period for which you are enrolled, or purchase a fee transfer to transfer your enrollment to the next period. LOMA will not refund your enrollment fees if you do not sit for an examination.

Prometric Exam Fees

The base exam fees are the same for Prometric exams as they are for paper exams and I*STAR exams. An additional fee of $85 is also required for all Prometric exam enrollments. Current exam fees can be found in the LOMA Education and Training Catalog.

Schedule a Test Appointment

Test appointments must be made through the Candidate Services Call Center (1-800-998-5662) or at www.2test.com. You cannot call your local test center to schedule an appointment. You may schedule your appointment as soon as 48 hours after entering your enrollment in LOMANET. Do not wait until you are ready to take your exam before making your appointment, as there may be no appointments left in the period you selected. You must enter your LOMA student number at www.2test.com or give your student number to the customer service operator to verify your eligibility to take the examination.

Appointments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is subject to availability at the testing center.

Prometric may require a 48-hour lead time for scheduling an appointment, meaning that you may not be able to get an appointment any earlier than 2 days following the date you call (or login) to schedule. Also, because Prometric administers exams for many programs, some test centers can fill up quickly. So you should plan accordingly and schedule your appointment in advance. You can schedule your appointment for any date within your selected 6-month testing period.

Take the Exam at Prometric

Plan to arrive at the Prometric Testing Center 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in procedures. Students who arrive late will not be allowed to test and will need to contact LOMA to re-establish their eligibility.

You will need to bring the following with you to the testing center:

  • Two forms of ID bearing your name and signature; one of these must include a recent photo. You must present one of the following as the primary form of identification: Passport, photo-bearing driver's license with signature, state ID card, military ID card. In states where a driver's photo is not included on the driver's license, you may present an ID with a physical description. Acceptable forms of secondary ID include a credit card, an ATM card, or a citizenship card.
  • Your enrollment confirmation (either a printout of the enrollment confirmation screen from LOMANET or a printout of your enrollment confirmation e-mail).
  • A non-programmable, basic four-function, LOMA calculator with the LOMA logo on its cover. A calculator is optional, but if you bring one, it must be a LOMA calculator.

Once you complete the exam, the system will provide you with an unofficial grade report. Your official grade will be e-mailed to you within a day or two if you select that delivery option in your student record in LOMANET. Otherwise, you can log into LOMANET and view your official score in your Course History.

When you access your Course History in LOMANET, you can also generate a chapter-by-chapter Performance Report indicating how well you did on each chapter of the assigned reading materials for the course.

Reschedule and Cancellation Policies

Enrollments for LOMA exams through Prometric may not be canceled for any reason. If you do not sit for your exam before the end of the testing period for which you enrolled, your enrollment will expire and your exam fees will be forfeited unless you purchase a fee transfer. You can purchase fee transfers on LOMANET by choosing the Check Enrollment Status button on the left side of the screen, checking the applicable enrollment, and choosing the Purchase Transfer button.

Prometric Testing Center appointments may be canceled or rescheduled without penalty, if you notify Prometric by no later than the second business day prior to your appointment. Monday through Saturday are considered business days. For example, if your appointment is on Monday, you must cancel before the previous Friday. If your appointment is on Thursday, you must cancel before the previous Tuesday.

To reschedule or cancel your appointment, call 800-998-5662. Prometric's Automated Voice Response System is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Note that if you reschedule your appointment near the end of one of LOMA’s six-month testing periods, you must also ensure that your LOMANET enrollment will still be valid on your rescheduled date. For example, if you are enrolled for the January-to-June testing period on LOMANET, and you want to reschedule your Prometric testing appointment from June 25 to July 9, you will need to first log into LOMANET, purchase a fee transfer, and re-enroll for the exam for the next testing period. Then you will be able to reschedule your appointment with Prometric. If you have any questions about this process, please call LOMA’s Office of the Registrar at 1-800-ASK-LOMA (1-800-275-5662) and select Option 1. Or you can reach us at 770-984-3761.

Also note that canceling your appointment with Prometric does NOT cancel your enrollment on LOMANET. Your enrollment will remain valid until the end of the current six-month testing period, but you will need to log into LOMANET and purchase a fee transfer if you do not want your enrollment to expire unused at the end of the testing period.
