PRE-NEED AND
FINAL EXPENSE CARRIERS PREPARE FOR AGING POPULATION AT LIC PRE-NEED/FINAL
EXPENSE FORUM
Atlanta,
September 21, 2004 – As
baby boomers age, funding funeral preparations become an increasing hot
topic for individuals, service providers, and insurance carriers. To help
insurers prepare for the changes facing their business, including
increased regulations, new marketing needs, and new product types, the
Life Insurers Council (LIC) will once again present its Pre-Need/Final
Expense Forum, which typically attracts ninety percent of the players in
this industry segment. The
event will be held November 3-4, 2004 at the
Hilton
Atlanta
Airport
.
“The pre-need and final expense segments of the insurance industry are two
of the fastest growing segments in the insurance industry,” said Matthew
F. McGuire, CLU, FLMI, senior vice president of American Memorial Life Ins.
Co.. “LIC’s Pre-Need /Final
Expense Forum helps attendees receive timely information from industry
experts and regulators and get answers to tough questions.”
The meeting covers all facets of the sales cycle for these hot products, and session topics will offer
a hard-hitting look at critical operations functions such as pre-need
reporting and auditing, pre-arranging vs. pre-funding, and reaching niche
markets. Additionally, attendees will benefit from industry updates by the
National Funeral Directors Association and the International
Cemetery and Funeral Association. Members
of LIC and LOMA can register for the conference for $275 if registrations
are received by October 1, 2004 ($425 for nonmembers).
