APPOINTED VICE CHAIR OF LOMA INTERNATIONAL UNDERWRITING CONGRESS
ATLANTA, Georgia—July 17, 2006—LOMA, the leading trade association to the international insurance and financial services industry, announces the appointment of David Laskey, FLMI, CLU, as vice chair of the LOMA International Underwriting Congress (IUC).
“Dave should be a tremendous resource as we develop a world-class program for the 2007 Congress,” stated C. Joseph Dahl, chairman of the LOMA IUC. “He has spent the last decade in Asia with leading multinational companies in various roles from IT, to marketing, to company operations and his experience and contacts will prove invaluable.”
Laskey brings over 37 years of industry experience with several top international firms including Sun Life of Canada, Mercantile & General Reinsurance, and Manulife Reinsurance to the IUC planning committee. Currently, he is responsible for Hannover Life Re’s life business in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea and establishing the Hannover Life Re brand throughout East Asia.
The LOMA International Underwriting Congress offers a multidisciplinary program focusing on issues related to international life and health insurance risk selection and doing business internationally. Topics include underwriting, technology, claims, product trends, medical issues and more and solutions providers from around the world showcase the latest products and services in the Congress trade fair.
The LOMA International Underwriting Congress will take place March 18-21, 2007 at the Pudong Shangri-La Shanghai in Shanghai, China.
