Take Honors at LOMA’s 2004 Annual Conference
ATLANTA,
GA, September 20, 2004—LOMA’s 2004 Top Students stood tall and proud during this
year’s LOMA Annual Conference and Conferment in historic Boston. The
celebration at this annual event culminates in an award ceremony and
banquet on September 21, with awards presented by LOMA’s president and
CEO, Thomas P. Donaldson, FLMI, CLU. More than 800 conference attendees,
including new designees and LOMA’s Board of Directors, were present to
cheer on the winners.

students are among the best and brightest in the insurance and financial
services industry," said William H. Rabel, Ph.D., FLMI, CLU, senior
vice president of LOMA’s Education & Training Division. "The
future of our industry depends on knowledgeable professionals like our
Top Students, who demonstrate both an ongoing commitment to continuing
professional education and the ability to compete intellectually among
thousands of students.”
Each year more than
50,000 professionals take LOMA examinations and more than 7,500 students
earn LOMA’s prestigious professional designations. The 2004 Top
Students in the
Americas
region earned the highest grade point averages out of all the students
earning their particular designation in the 2003 calendar year in North
and
South America
.
LOMA has awarded more
than 150,000 professional designations in 12 professional
designation programs within the financial services industry, including
more than 75,000 FLMI and almost 60,000 ACS designations. With award
winning education programs now translated into Bahasa Indonesia, French,
Portuguese, Spanish, Traditional and Simplified Chinese and Korean, LOMA
