The Educational Achievement Awards go to the 15 LOMA member companies with the highest examination enrollments from the previous calendar year. The 2004 Excellence in Education Awards, presented to 64 LOMA member companies, recognizes superior exam results and enrollment growth during 2003. With LOMA education programs now being offered in seven languages—English, Bahasa Indonesia, Chinese, Korean, French, Spanish, and Portuguese—the competition for these awards is fiercer than ever.

"The Education Award winners understand the importance of employee education in today’s competitive market and realize that professional development is critical to both an employee’s success and an organization’s bottom line," said William H. Rabel, Ph.D., FLMI, CLU, Senior Vice President, LOMA's Education & Training Division. Special recognition goes to New York Life Insurance Company, United States, and American International Assurance, Hong Kong, for being the first ten-year winners of the Educational Achievement Award, and to PHILAM Life, Philippines, for being the first ten-year winner of the Excellence in Education Award. LOMA extends heartfelt congratulations to these companies for their years of hard work and diligence.

All the winners will be honored during special awards ceremonies for their tremendous accomplishments. Ceremonies will be held during the 2004 LOMA Asia Pacific Conference & Conferment in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the LOMA 2004 Annual Conference & Conferment in Boston, Massachusetts.
