LOMA and TANDIKA Launch Financial
Services Education Program in
Indonesia
March
18, 2005—Atlanta, Georgia
– LOMA, the leading trade association
to the financial services industry and 2003 winner of the Asia Insurance
Industry Award for Education Provider of the Year, joins with TANDIKA
Learning Institute for Financial Services in Indonesia, to announce the
new Certified Professional in Financial Services (CPFS) education program
(www.loma.org/cpfsprogram.asp).
The continuing evolution toward an
international competitive environment has had significant ramifications
for insurance and financial services organizations, and in order to
develop and sustain effective international operations, LOMA created the
Financial Services Institute (FSI). The FSI provides business solutions
and education programs to best serve the unique professional development
needs of organizations that have evolved from insurance companies to
multifaceted financial services institutions and help industry
professionals become more knowledgeable and confident with the full range
of their company's services from mutual funds to employee benefit plans,
to wealth accumulation products and more.
The premiere education program of LOMA's
FSI is the Fellow, Financial Services Institute (FFSI) designation which
provides insight for individuals who develop, manage, administer, and
support wealth accumulation products, retirement plans, employee benefits,
banking products, mutual funds, and other financial products. The CPFS
program uses FFSI courses so in addition to the career benefits the CPFS
program provides, CPFS courses are internationally-accredited, fulfill
Indonesian government required education standards, and also count as
credit towards both the CPFS and FFSI designations.
The CPFS program will increase
professionalism in the various fields of financial services: banking,
insurance, securities, financial planning and more. The courses that
comprise the CPFS program include the following:
- LOMA 305: Personal Financial Planning
- LOMA 326: Financial Services Marketing
- LOMA 356: Investment Principles and
Institutional Investing
- CPFS 100: Financial Planning Negotiation
Skills Program
"The rapid evolution of financial
services organizations in Indonesia has created the strong need for
international standards in financial services education," stated
Thomas P. Donaldson, FLMI, CLU, president and CEO of LOMA. "Banks,
insurance and mutual fund companies are combining and packaging products
to attract consumers at large. With the CPFS program professionals gain
the knowledge they need to excel individually which translates directly to
greater success for their organization."
Donaldson will be in Jakarta, Indonesia on
Friday, March 18, 2005 to formally launch the CPFS program. |
