LOMA WINS APEX AWARDS FOR ONLINE CONTENT

ATLANTA, GA—AUGUST 6, 2007—LOMA, the leading trade association to the international insurance and financial services industry and worldwide leader in learning and professional development, is pleased to announce that two of its online courses have won awards in the Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX) 2007 competition.

LOMA's simluation-based online course, "Working With Upset Customers", received an APEX Award in the Special Purpose Electronic and Video Publications category. LOMA's "Managing Time and Stress" online course earned an APEX Award in the Education & Training Electronic and Video Publications category.

"We are thrilled to receive our first awards for online content", stated Katherine C. Milligan, FLMI, ACS, ALHC, vice president, Education and Training, LOMA. "These awards honor not only LOMA staff members who author, edit, design, and produce our online courses; they also recognize the contributions of numerous industry experts who volunteer their time and knowledge to help us develop the high caliber of learning materials for which LOMA is consistently recognized".

The 19th Annual Awards for Publication Excellence is an international competition that recognizes outstanding works in communication and design within 11 major and 105 individual categories. Categories range from magazines and writing to Web sites and education and training. According to the APEX 2007 judges, "the awards were based on excellence in graphic design, quality of editorial content and the success of the entry in conveying the message and achieving overall communications effectiveness".
