LOMA’s Resource Magazine Wins Three Awards
ATLANTA, Nov. 12, 2012— Recently, LOMA’s Resource Magazine received three awards for excellence.
“We are honored that our magazine has been recognized by both the Georgia Chapter of PRSA, and the Atlanta chapter of IABC,” said Ron Clark, LOMA assistant vice president and editor in chief of Resource Magazine. “Competing against nationally known companies and organizations, representing some of the largest companies in the U.S, I am proud that our team has been recognized by these two prestigious organizations.”
Resource Magazine won two 2012 Phoenix Awards from the Public Relations Society of America, Georgia Chapter (PRSA-GA):
- Phoenix Award (the top award) for Writing, Financial Article. This was for the April cover story, Checkpoints, Changes and Challenges.
- Certificate of Excellence, External Magazines, covering both content and design for three consecutive issues. It was based on the March, April and May issues.
The International Association of Business Communicators, Atlanta bestowed the Silver Award for Writing in the IABC Golden Flames Awards for Resource Magazine’s April cover story, Checkpoints, Changes and Challenges, written by Jennifer Rankin. This is the third time Rankin has been recognized for her work in 2012. In addition to the PRSA Phoenix award (above), earlier this year Rankin’s cover story on global life insurance trends was highlighted as LOMA’s Resource Magazine took the APEX Award for Publication Excellence.
Both the PRSA and the IABC awards are entered by large, nationally known companies and organizations, such as Coca-Cola, UPS and Georgia Tech and by public relations agencies representing organizations such as AT&T, IBM, HP, and General Electric.
