The LIC Operations Committee Meeting is a chance for executives from small-to-midsize life insurance companies and fraternals, and relevant service providers, to get together in a unique peer networking meeting. Join us to learn, share your thoughts, and get feedback from others involved in smaller-company operations.
Topics will be selected by participants. Here are topics submitted so far:

- New Business Operations - division of responsibilities and roles in partnership with Underwriting
- Customer service department - how to successfully shift to a front and back office organizational structure? How to train customer service reps in a work from home model?
- Customer Portal - are others allowing customers to make changes such as bene changes on their policies digitally (portal or website) without requiring the form and wet signature?
- E-Apps and auto issue. Is anyone doing auto-issue and if so, what does your audit process look like. Any challenges that you have run into. What types of transactions do you allow e-signature for vs when/if you require a wet signature.
- How are carriers streamlining their responses to the multiple privacy/data security regulations being promulgated?
- What systems do carriers use to monitor agent websites for content compliance?
- What phone systems are being used that companies are happy with? Do those systems support remote workers well?
- Is anyone starting to incorporate AI into their operations?
- What resource is utilized to stay compliant in each state you operate?
- How is your claims department organized?
- Does your member service or customer care department cross sell products?
