LIMRA/LOMA Latin America Conference Celebrates 40th Anniversary
WINDSOR, Conn., July 6, 2011―The 40th annual LIMRA/LOMA Latin

"We are excited to host this year's conference in Cancun to
commemorate the 40th anniversary of this important event," said
Bolivar Arosemena, corporate vice president of the Latin American
and Caribbean Regions for LIMRA and LOMA. "It is the first time
this event has been held in Latin America, allowing more in-region
participation and underscoring the growing relevance of Latin
America in the global market place."
The conference theme, 2020 Vision: Latin America, Land of
Opportunities, focuses on recognizing and capitalizing on the
untapped business opportunities within the Latin American markets.
The conference provides the most up-to-date research and industry
knowledge on market trends, consumer research and recent regulatory
activity. During the conference, industry leaders and top
practitioners will share best practices on product development,
distribution, risk management and operations. It also offers
attendees the chance to learn from industry experts, as well as
from their colleagues in an open, collaborative forum.
In 1971, the Latin American Roundtable was held in Washington
DC, attracting just 20 participants. Forty years later, under
the astute leadership of Mexican organizing committee co-chairmen
