On February 15, we launched an updated version of AIRC 411 — The Regulatory Environment for Life Insurance.
AIRC 411 is a highly interactive online course — one of the two LOMA designation courses needed for the Regulatory Compliance Essentials certificate program, and one of the six required courses for the AIRC designation. The course discusses the compliance function in a life insurance company and how the state and federal governments regulate life insurance companies operating in the U.S.
All LOMA courses were updated to reflect the DOL fiduciary rule back in 2016, but the new edition is also updated to address other regulatory changes, including:
- The National Association of Registered Agents and Brokers Reform Act of 2015 (NARAB II)
- The Corporate Governance Annual Disclosure Model Act and Regulation
- Principles-based reserving
Note: If you were already enrolled in AIRC 411 before February 15, we encourage you to finish the course before your six-month access period expires—progress in the old version doesn't carry over into the new version.
