The LIC Technology Committee Meeting is a chance for executives from small-to-midsize life insurance companies and fraternals, and relevant service providers, to get together in a unique peer networking meeting. Join us to learn, share your thoughts, and get feedback from others involved in smaller-company IT.

Sample discussion topics from past meetings include:

Who’s Using What: Applications/services used for Cybersecurity, Unclaimed Property, hardware/software refresh
New administration platform: key benefits/concerns to look for
Outsourcing: Which areas and what are the struggles/successes?
Cost and staffing of implementing new technologies

The meeting brings together 15-20 small-to-midsize life insurance company representatives and relevant vendors. The meeting will include speaker presentations as well as activity reports and facilitated discussion among the attendees.

Puritan Life and Benekiva are generously hosting the meeting at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. The meeting will begin at 2 pm on Wednesday October 2 with attendee introductions and discussion before heading to Old Town Scottsdale for a hosted networking dinner. Thursday October 3 we'll meet at Puritan Life for breakfast, carpool to the garden for the meeting until 11:30 am, and then enjoy lunch 11:30-12:30 pm hosted by Benekiva. For those who can stay another hour or two, our meeting comes with complimentary access to explore the Desert Botanical Garden.

Who Can Attend

The meeting is open to insurance company executives, with a discounted registration fee for LIC members, group discounts, and a discount for fraternal members of the American Fraternal Alliance. Affiliate Members/Vendors must sponsor the meeting in order to attend (see LIC sponsorship opportunities).

Remote Option Available

Registration can be either in person or remote. Registration fees and discounts are the same - simply select your option in the registration form.

LIC Committee Meetings are open to insurance companies/fraternals, as well as vendors/service providers that are sponsoring the meeting. Sponsorship Fee will be billed separately (see LIC Sponsorships).

Cancellation Policy

Refund Policy: All cancellations/substitutions and refund requests must be received in writing - please submit your request to customer.service@limra.com. Cancellations received by September 25, 2024, will be refunded, less a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be issued after September 25. Substitutions are allowed at no charge.

Recommended Hotels

Hotel reservations are on an individual basis; we encourage you to book your room as soon as possible. Plan to arrive by Wednesday October 2 (meeting starts at 2 p.m.). The meeting/luncheon will end at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 3. Attendees can stay to enjoy the garden afterward; a typical visit is 1.5-2 hours.

We recommend staying in Old Town Scottsdale near Puritan Life's office, 7272 E Indian School Road, Suite 100, Scottsdale, AZ 85251. The two closest hotels are within steps of Puritan Life, right at the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, and less than a 10-minute drive to the garden.
