In
consideration of the ongoing financial climate, LOMA has made the decision
to postpone the 2009 International Underwriting Congress until further
notice. We have made this
difficult decision after consulting with the leadership of the IUC
Planning Team and carefully weighing a number of important factors.
Prime among these was our obligation to respond to LOMA and LIMRA
member companies’ concerns resulting from the current financial crisis.
LOMA
remains committed to the business partnerships with our worldwide members
to improve their management and operations through high-quality employee
learning and development, research, information sharing and related
products and services.
We
