This year's keynote speaker is James Dennison, Managing Director, Operational Risk Division, OSFI, who will address the topic of “Managing Third Party Outsourcing Contracts and Expectations of Internal Audit’s Role”.
About James Dennison
Following prominent roles in major companies including Canada Trust and CIBC Mellon Trust, Dennison moved to OSFI. He is presently responsible for OSFI’s supervisory effectiveness of operational risk at federally-regulated financial institutions, including the effectiveness of governance oversight and operational risk management programs, as well as the management of various operational risks including management information systems, technology, cyber security, business continuity, information security and outsourcing.
Dennison graduated with a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA, and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Professional Risk Manager (PRM), and Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) designations.
