Education Section Committees and Meetings

LOMA Canada Education Section Committees provide opportunities for members to share information with industry peers and explore ways to improve methods of operation and management. Only LOMA members can participate on education section committees.

The Committee meetings provide insurance and financial services industry professionals with opportunities to meet with peers, to discuss current legislative and regulatory issues, to participate in workshops and panel discussions, and to learn from guest speakers’ presentations.

The Education Section Meetings are some of the most important and popular educational conferences in the insurance industry, and are attended by hundreds of professionals from various levels and functional areas from across Canada. The meetings include dynamic general sessions, plus discipline-specific educational sessions and presentations.  The Education Section Meetings provide an opportunity for attendees to learn the latest trends and best practices in their professional area of the industry while benefitting from the discussions and networking opportunities.

Group Benefits and Retirement Services

The Group Benefits and Retirement Services Education Section Meeting will be of interest to industry professionals involved in Group Administration and Operations, Group Account Representatives, Group Underwriters, Group Reinsurance, Business Analysts, Market Research, Product Management and Marketing, Economic Analysts, Customer and Client Services staff who work in the group benefits and group reinsurance business.  This is a lively forum for group insurance and group retirement services professionals to meet, network, and discuss strategic and tactical issues through interactive workshops, panel discussions, and industry guest presenters.
