ACS® Life is About Choices, So is Your Success

ACS P&C Track for Canadian Financial Services Professionals


The ACS Program provides a course on the foundations of customer service, and the program's elective tracks allow you to focus your studies within a particular product area, depending on your position within the financial services industry.
Jointly sponsored by LOMA and the Insurance Institute of Canada (IIC), the Canadian Property & Casualty track of the ACS Program will provide you with a solid understanding of customer service and how it affects property/liability insurance, loss adjusting, underwriting and agent/broker activities.

What Can You Expect to Learn?

The ACS P&C Track will help you

  • Increase your knowledge of product lines

  • Understand customer expectations, patterns and behavior

  • Manage customer relationships successfully

  • Organize an effective customer service team

  • Improve your company's bottom line

ACS P&C U.S. Track Requirements

Required Courses (3):

  • ACS 100—Foundations of Customer Service

  • C11 – Principles and Practice of Insurance OR C81 & C82 – General Insurance Essentials, Part 1 & Part 2

  • C12 – Insurance on Property OR C13– Insurance Against Liability, Part 1

Electives (choose two):

  • C12 – Insurance on Property or C13 – Insurance Against Liability (whichever was not taken as a required course)

  • C17 - Claims I

  • C110 – Essentials of Loss Adjusting

  • C111 – Advanced Loss Adjusting

  • C120 – Underwriting Essentials

  • C121 – Advanced Underwriting

  • C130 – Essential Skills for the Insurance Broker and Agent

  • C131 – Advanced Skills for the Insurance Broker and Agent

When you successfully complete the five courses in your elected concentration of the ACS Program, you will receive a personalized diploma and can proudly include the ACS designation after your name. After you've earned your ACS, consider continuing your customer service education by earning the Professional, Customer Service (PCS) designation.
